Get a free trip to Germany’s Hannover Fair

January 11, 2016 By Lee Teschler

Glimpse the global manufacturing industry’s most exciting innovations at the largest industrial trade show and fair in the world, Hannover Fair — for free. That’s what’s in store for the lucky winners of a contest sponsored by enclosure manufacturer Rittal.

pumpIf Hannover is on your bucket list, this could be a chance to come over as the guest of Rittal, the world’s largest enclosure manufacturer and a leader in thermal management of electrical, electronic and IT equipment. Rittal is hosting just eight customers and industry journalists on this trip to Germany, with all Hannover Fair passes, airfare, hotel and meals taken care of as part of the program. Along with time at the Hannover Fair, winners get a behind-the-scenes tour of the company’s highly automated manufacturing facilities nearby, along with time to visit a few of Germany’s famous attractions and beer gardens!

Hannover features several special exhibit areas. Among them are the AMA Center for sensor, measuring and testing technologies. Here attendees will find the latest in sensor and measuring technology: The German Association for Sensors and Measurement and various exhibitors present comprehensive systems and integrated solutions.

Customized driverless transport systems are at the Mobile Areas. Several novel complete-goods-transport-systems are scheduled to be on display as well.

At the Components & Systems for Automation area, leading suppliers of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, linear technology and drive components will inform visitors about the efficient deployment of their equipment in the automation sector. At the Predictive Maintenance 4.0 exhibits, displays highlight the benefits of predictive maintenance: It enables factory operators to detect and fix problems before they lead to costly production outages. And it does this on a just-in-time basis. By intelligently monitoring and analyzing machine condition data, it predicts the optimal time for intervention so that maintenance is performed only when necessary.

The Wireless, M2M & IoT area highlights wireless communication between machines: The joint pavilion “SmartConnected” is a meeting place for leaders in wireless technology, machine-to-machine communication and the IoT.
