Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency control solutions and an IDT company, has expanded its XpressO product line to include three sizes of automotive-grade, HCMOS oscillators to meet the
advanced clocking requirements in modern vehicle systems.

With the same exceptionally low jitter as other XpressO oscillators, the new models conform to AEC-Q200, which tests passive components to applicable automotive reliability parameters.
Available in three industry standard packages—3.2 mm x 2.5 mm; 5 mm x 3.2 mm; and 7 mm x 5 mm—the new automotive-grade oscillators offer a frequency resolution to six decimal places with a range from 0.75 MHz to 250 MHz. The 3.3 V oscillators operate over extended temperatures of -40°C to +85°C.
The new XpressO oscillators are ideal for use in a wide range of automotive electronics systems. Specific applications include in-cabin electronics for comfort and convenience, proximity sensing for back-up cameras and parking assist as well as monitoring for optimum vehicle operations.
Fox’s proprietary ASIC technology, with a 3rd order Delta Sigma Modulator (DSM), enables XpressO oscillators to significantly reduce noise to levels comparable with traditional bulk quartz and SAW oscillators. This ASIC family enables the selection of output type, input voltages and temperature performance within the oscillator.
