Rutronik now offering Ethertronics embedded antenna

October 24, 2018 By Aimee Kalnoskas Leave a Comment

Rutronik, Inc. has announced that Ethertronics has released the 1002289 antenna, which provides design engineers with the ability to cover many wireless technologies with a single device. The Ethertronics 1002289 antenna features broadband tuning, making it suitable for many international LTE bands as well as sub-GHz technologies, such as LoRa or Sigfox. Based on a flexible substrate, it can be easily integrated into systems.

1002289 antennaCovering frequency ranges between 698 – 960MHz (low band) and 1710 – 2690MHz (high band), the embedded antenna supports all current LTE standards worldwide and is backward compatible. Conceptualized as a standard antenna with a weight of only 0.86g and measurements of 53.6 x 25.1 x 0.2mm, it eliminates the design fees and cycle time associated with a custom solution.

In addition, the 1002289 antenna integrates a U.FL-compatible connector, 50 Ohm wave impedance and linear polarization. As with all products from Ethertronics, the antenna is compliant to the latest RoHS version.

Since the antenna also supports all LTE-based narrowband frequencies, it is an ideal solution for energy-efficient IoT applications, including home automation, smart metering, and tracking. Additional target markets are medical, industrial, POS, and M2M.
