Quiz Day Friday

Welcome back to Friday and Quiz V2.0: Common Engineering Abbreviations. If you missed our kickoff last Friday, then catch up by taking Quiz V1.0: General Electronic and Electrical. No, it’s not a prerequisite but some of us like order.

This is the second of 10 quizzes each with 10 questions from top members of the Electro-Tech-Online community members including: 3vO,DerStrom, Ian Rogers, Roman Black, Reload Ron, JimB,MrAl, ericgibbs. Upcoming quizzes include Computer History, and Resistor and Zener Voltage Dividers.

We list the questions below just to give you a heads-up, but you’ll find the complete quiz — with the multiple choice options  — HERE.

Quiz V2.0 Common Engineering Abbreviations

(Yes, these are definitely for beginners but we all have to start somewhere. If you use at least five or more of these abbreviations in your everyday conversations, then perhaps you can try the quiz out this weekend on an electronics-novice friend, or perhaps a millennial whose vocabulary is limited to internet jargon/text message shorthand. KWIM?)

1. What does the abbreviation LCD mean…?
2. NTC?
3. LED?
4. VDR?
5. SCR?
6. RFC?
7. MOV?
8. RTD?
9. FET?
10. RAM?

Think you know the answers? Click here take the quiz!
And don’t forget to come back next Friday…
